Our Mexican dinner at the Allen's for our Self-Reliance visitors. From left: Constance from Sierra Leone, Marc from Ghana (originally from Cote d'lvoire), Elder Allen, Sister Allen, Christian from Nigeria, and Tom
Primary kids from Kakata 1 branch

Pictures of the Sisters at the RS birthday celebration at Paynesville District Center. They all bought "lapas" of material (2 yards of fabric) and sewed their own dresses, or had them made.
We also went to the Monrovia District birthday party and they did the same thing, different print. So cute! Sister Barker is in the picture. She had been attending one of the Paynesville branches at the time.

Missionaries eating lunch at the zone conference. These are held every 6 weeks and the missionaries are split into 2 groups meeting separate days.
This is the most common Liberian meal, although this one does not have the typical cooked greens on top of the rice, that is very spicy/hot and full of palm oil.

Some of our YSA kids. They are a lot of fun, and spiritual as well.
Bobby, Samuel, Vera, Asata, Emily, Melvina, Edison, Naike,
Rennie, and Cyrus in back

Edison and Asata singing karaoke at one of our YSA activities.

The Paynesville District YSA Valentine Party. On the stage are the couples who got together by the male choosing a shoe from a pile created by the women's contribution of one of their shoes.

Uriah from Paynesville group, and Winifred from Kakata; at the party.

Cooking for the Valentine party. It was all done here outside! To bad we do not have a pic of the hibachis cooking the potatoes and chicken.

Kakata branches 1 & 2 YSA had an activity with Paynesville District YSA. The activity was in Kakata at the vocational high school/college field.
We first had some fun games, then girls kickball, followed by boys football. Kakata won both kickball and football. Paynesville will want a rematch!
Naike and Vera's baptisms. They were members of the YSA group!

All who were baptized that day

Workshop done by Morris (he works with the humanitarian couple, but this workshop is privately funded) on Emotional, Sexual, Physical, and Economical Abuse. This workshop was in Salala, about 2 hours out of Monrovia. It covers great material well needed in Liberia, as well as just about everywhere!

This is the great visual for the workshop

These are a few of the girls that received Days for Girls kits after the presentation done by Sister Barker.
